Corporate/Community Partners - A new program for AL Fresno

Help Our Chapter Clothe More Kids!!

We have exciting news on how our chapter can potentially clothe hundreds more children each year in our community!

In our 2013-2014 fiscal year we kicked off the brand new Corporate/Community Partners Program! Here is how it works…

We have put together a Corporate Partners information packet that can be given to any prospective person interested in helping us clothe more children. The information packet can be given to a dentist, doctor, hair stylist, attorney, accountant, manicurist, landscaper, etc. - the possibilities are endless! The folder contains all the information necessary to get started while introducing a potential partner to Assistance League Fresno and all the wonderful things we do and people we help in our community! This is just another way for our chapter to spread the word of Assistance League and boost the number of children served in the community each year! Our goals for how many we would like to serve for the next five years are stated in the folder. Let’s get busy and make those goals a reality!! Corporate/Community Partners folders are available now! Be the first to get your folder and get started on fulfilling a child’s need of new school clothes! We will have the folders available at every Chapter Meeting for the remainder of the year or you can contact Lillie Armistead or Ellie Gale for more information about our Corporate/Community Partners Program. They will be happy to answer any questions.

Home of Hope

For the eighth year, AL Fresno was chosen as one of eight local non-profits to be a recipient of the
Home of Hope.

For the past nine years, local Fresno home builder, Granville Homes, has built a home in the community and then sells $100 tickets for a chance to win the home. In June 2015, AL Fresno received $55,000 from the ticket sales.

Participating in the event is a consideration in the amount of money each nonprofit receives. Fresno Chapter committee members went to work and secured secondary prizes, attended monthly meetings, staffed booths at many events, answered telephones, distributed brochures, gave TV interviews and sold tickets.

AL Fresno's Home of Hope Chairman, Randy Walter said that Granville has stated that they could just build the home, sell the tickets and give the nonprofits the money. However, by having the recipients participating in selling the tickets and securing other prizes, the nonprofits receive greater community exposure.

In the eight years that AL Fresno has been a recipient of the Home of Hope ticket sales, they have received over $250,000 from Granville. That has equated to clothing a total of 5,000 students in Fresno!
