Each year, Assistance League depends on the grants, corporate and personal donations and the chapter fundraisers to fund our programs. All money raised stays right here in our community.

      The following are ways in which our members and the general public are able to assist Assistance League:

       1. Gently used items are accepted Wednesday through Saturday at the Bargain Boutique. These items are then sold and the profits go directly to fund Operation School Bell^® and Operations Bear Hug. To donate items, please deliver them to Bargain Boutique at 1034 Fulton Ave. Fresno, CA. 93728. Our phone number is (559)264-4272. A charitable contribution form will be provided to you upon request.

       2. MACY's BENEFIT SHOPPING DAY: Tickets are available for $10 per ticket and can be purchased during the month of September and October by calling 559-349-0220. 100% of the proceeds from these tickets sales directly benefits Assistance League and an additional portion will come back to our organization if the ticket stub is deposited at Macy's on the day of the event.

       3. We sponsor a SOCK IT TO 'EM direct mail solicitation. We send out special Christmas socks and donations are then returned in the sock. The stockings are then stuffed with a small gift and are handed out to patients at a local hospital. If you wish to be included on our mailing list, please call 559-349-0220. Annually we raise approximately $40,000 which helps to clothe over 570 needy children.

       4. CORPORATE GRANTS and DONATIONS are researched and applied for each year. We are looking for local businesses and foundations that believe that caring and commitment can be put into action. Last year over $28,000 was donated so that at least 400 needy children could receive our help through Operation School Bell^®. We are only limited by the funds we receive.

       5. Annually, we share our COMMUNITY NEWSLETTER with our family, friends and neighbors here in Fresno County. We would like to send you a copy as well if you like.
