Assistance League greatly appreciates the consideration of this donation. Funds from the Home of Hope ticket sales will benefit Assistance League and allow us to continue helping thousands of Fresno County children. Assistance League’s signature program, Operation School Bell®, has clothed over 2 million children and here in Fresno County 15,000 children have benefited. With every purchase of a Home of Hope ticket, we will be able to continue to give new zip-up hooded jackets, hooded sweatshirts, long and short sleeve shirts, pants, shorts, three pair of underwear and socks, shoes, hygiene kits and school supplies to K-6 children referred to our program. Our Operation Bear Hug program has given 65,000 Assistance League bears to victims of trauma and locally our 11,000th bear was handed out this past year.
Assistance League and all the charities involved with this 2008 Home of Hope fundraiser are 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations.

Assistance League is a charitable organization dedicated to supporting the city and its surrounding community by volunteering services, donating financial aid, educating the membership and training future leaders for philanthropic endeavors.
The Fresno County Chapter of Assistance League has three main programs: Operation School Bell®; Operation Bear Hug and Operation Shoe Box.
Assistance League is a local 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and our work is accomplished entirely through the help of our over 200 volunteers. We have no paid staff. Our programs are funded through grants, donations and the proceeds from our resale store, Bargain Boutique, located in the Tower District. All funds raised remain in our community.
Our members staff our resale store which is open Wednesdays through Saturdays and volunteer on designated clothing days for Operation School Bell. The chapter also assists with the operation of its auxiliary, Assisteens®.
Assistance League is a local chapter of the National Assistance League®. National Assistance League located in Burbank, California is a national nonprofit organization that puts caring and commitment into action through community-based philanthropic programs. There are over 119 volunteer organizations with more than 24,000 members in chapters nationwide. Approximately thirty one million dollars is returned to local communities annually. Volunteers give over two million, five hundred thousand service hours each year and National Assistance League's signature program, Operation School Bell, clothes more than 200,000 children each year.
